Schluter Systems

I use Schluter products for tiling and waterproofing bathroom and wet areas. They use a complete system of foam panels (Kerdi Board), uncoupling floor mats (Ditra Mat, with the option of radiant heating using Ditra Heat), and wall cover (Kerdi Membrane) to create a leak-proof area, with fast installation. They have great edge, expansion joint, and transition pieces that can blend in with your grout, or have a classy metal finish. Check out schluter.com for more information.

Ardex grouts

These are the top of the line tile installation products. The grout is self-sealing, water repellent, and stain resistant, strong enough to use in swimming pools. You can learn more at ardexamericas.com and can be ordered through CFM.

Sherwin-Williams

These paints are easy to apply, durable and long-lasting, cleanable, and come in 0 VOC options that are safer for me and safer for you. VOCs (volatile organic compounds) off-gas from paint for years after installation and past the time the new paint smell is gone, and can be a hazard to humans, especially children. Since SW paints are easy to install, they take less time and fewer coats, so even though they cost more per gallon, it will likely cost less overall in both material and labor.
